Stretching Exercises can prevent Injury
Stretching exercises are important warm up and cool down routines for any exercise or sport's program. Stretching has many benefits:
- It can prevent injury and increase coordination and balance.
- Performance and posture can be improved with proper stretching routines.
- It can improve blood circulation.
- It can strengthen all muscles.
Before performing a stretching routine, it is beneficial to do some activity that uses many of the large muscles of the body such as walking. This increases the temperature of the muscles and will make stretching more comfortable.
The stretching routine should be done before and after the workout and should last about 5-10 minutes.
